What do I do now? – Existential Observations
During pregnancy, situations may occur that are perceived by the fetus as Existential Risks. When this happens close to childbirth, it can generate Infantile Individual Rules aimed at temporarily blocking the natural path of coming out of the uterus.
In the story above, although ready to be born, the fetus found the road blocked, because the mother had preferred to follow the doctor's instructions and delay the delivery by a week, rather than trusting the signals she received from her body, and preparing to give birth that very day. The fetus thus goes through a conflict, not knowing whether to insist and force the exit or to renounce and submit to timelines that are not his, to Stay Alive. He chooses to not insist.
Such a decision creates the Infantile Individual Rule that defines inaction and waiting as a way to Stay Alive: "What do I do now? I'll wait, that's what I'll do, and see what happens."
Consequently, childbirth was challenging, so much so that it required a cesarean section.
During childhood and adolescence, the use of this Strategy in situations perceived as an Existential Risk, led the protagonist to slow down some cognitive functions before acting, resulting, for example, in thinking more slowly and observing the surrounding environment with more attention.
As we will see in detail later, if we do not update our Infantile Individual Rules, over the years, we may encounter difficulties in different areas of life, which can be solved only by generating new Creator Individual Rules.
